Cookie Policy
Effective date: October 25, 2026
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This page lists the cookies and similar technologies used on bytecode.technology, what they do, and how to control them. For how we handle personal information generally, see our Privacy Policy.
1. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are popular and which forms people use, so we can improve it. These cookies don’t contain your name, email address or anything you type into our forms.
_ga— distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after 2 years._ga_<ID>— keeps track of the current visit (session). Expires after 2 years.
2. Spam protection (hCaptcha)
Our quote, contact and audit forms use hCaptcha to block bots. When a form loads, hCaptcha may set cookies or use similar browser storage that it needs to work, and it processes technical data as described in its own privacy policy.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
Public pages of this site don’t set login or session cookies. Our team’s admin area uses a session cookie and a security token (laravel-session, XSRF-TOKEN), which are only set if you sign in to the admin and expire after 2 hours of inactivity.
4. Other technologies
The fonts on our pages are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the font files are requested; Google Fonts does not set cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or social media tracking pixels.
5. Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without analytics cookies.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google’s Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Blocking hCaptcha may prevent our forms from being submitted. If that happens, you can email us at hello@bytecode.technology instead.
6. Changes and contact
We will update this page if the cookies we use change. Questions: info@bytecode.technology.
