Legal
Terms & Conditions
Effective date: October 25, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of bytecode.technology (the “Site”), operated by Bytecode Technology (“Bytecode,” “we,” “our,” “us”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
1. Use of the Site
You may use the Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to misuse it — for example by attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, submitting spam or automated form submissions, or scraping it in a way that burdens our systems.
2. Information on the Site
Our articles, guides, case studies and other content are provided for general information only. They are not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice, and platform features and rules (for example Shopify’s) change over time. Some content is drafted with the help of AI tools and reviewed by our team. Results described in case studies reflect specific projects and are not a promise of similar results.
3. Quotes, audits and service engagements
Submitting a form, requesting a quote or receiving a free audit does not create a contract or a client relationship. Any project work is governed only by a separate written agreement signed by both parties, and that agreement controls if it conflicts with these Terms. A free audit is an informal review based on the information available to us; it is offered without obligation and without guarantees.
4. Intellectual property
The Site’s content, design, text, graphics and code are owned by Bytecode or used with permission, and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share links to the Site, but you may not copy, republish or reuse its content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Third-party names and logos (for example of platforms and technologies we work with) belong to their respective owners and are shown only to identify those technologies.
5. Our products
Bytecode’s own products, such as PushVane and Submerce, are offered on their own websites and are governed by their own terms.
6. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, policies or practices.
7. Disclaimer
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bytecode will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle information collected through the Site.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version takes effect when we post it here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Site after changes means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
