Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Bytecode Technology (“Bytecode,” “we,” “our,” “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit bytecode.technology or contact us. We serve businesses mainly in the United States and Canada, and we keep this policy short and specific to what this website actually does.
1. Information you give us
When you use one of our forms (quote request, contact form, free audit request), we collect what you enter:
- Your name and email address.
- Optional details: phone number, the service you’re interested in, how soon you need to start, your store or website URL, and anything you write about your project.
- Which form you used and when you sent it.
If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
If you leave feedback on our feedback page, we collect your name, rating and comments, and optionally your role, company, email address and photo. We show feedback on our website only if you tick the box allowing it, and never show your email address. Ask us at any time to edit or remove it.
2. Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — for example which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from, the type of device and browser, and actions such as opening a quote form, clicking a call-to-action or submitting a form. We do not send your name, email address, phone number or anything you type into our forms to Google Analytics.
- Visit counts. Our own website counts page views and visitors, including how many people are on the site right now, so we can see which pages are useful. It uses no cookies and stores no IP address: each visitor is represented by a one-way code that changes every day, alongside the page visited and the referring website. These counts are kept for 90 days.
- Spam protection. Our forms use hCaptcha to tell people from bots. hCaptcha may collect technical data such as your IP address, browser and device information, and how you interact with the challenge.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site running securely.
See our Cookie Policy for the cookies these tools use.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to your inquiry, prepare quotes or audits you request, and provide our services.
- To follow up about your request. We do not add you to a newsletter or marketing list.
- To understand and improve our website and the content we publish.
- To protect the site and our forms against spam, abuse and security threats.
- To meet legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run this website and our business, and only as needed:
- Hosting and email — our website, database and email are hosted by Hostinger. Form submissions are stored in our database and sent to our team by email.
- Google — Google Analytics (usage statistics) and Google Fonts (the fonts on our pages are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address).
- hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.) — bot and spam protection on our forms.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
5. How long we keep information
We keep inquiries and project details for as long as we need them to respond to you, provide our services and keep reasonable business records, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see section 7). Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted access to our admin systems and spam protection on our forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live — including under U.S. state privacy laws and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) — you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Withdraw your consent to our use of it, or opt out of analytics (see our Cookie Policy).
To make a request, email us at info@bytecode.technology. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
8. Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International visitors
We and our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws than where you live. We take steps so that your information remains protected as described in this policy.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
