Yukti Vohra is a luxury designer ethnic-wear label for women with a made-to-measure atelier in Delhi NCR, India, shipping across India. The label needed an online store that felt as premium as the clothes, could sell ready pieces online, and could also bring clients in for personal styling. Bytecode built yuktivohra.com as a custom e-commerce website, giving the brand a storefront for collections, checkout, customer accounts, services, editorial content, and private styling appointments.

The challenge

This was not a simple catalog site. Yukti Vohra sells designer ethnic wear, including made-to-measure pieces, and the buying journey is more considered than a basic add-to-cart flow. The site needed to support direct online shopping while also making room for the atelier side of the business: customization, revamping, trousseau assistance, and private styling.

The brand also needed the website experience to match the positioning of the label. A couture customer expects clarity, polish, and a sense of care before reaching checkout or booking an appointment. The site had to show collections clearly, communicate services without confusion, and make it easy for a visitor to move from browsing to a concrete action.

Another important constraint was the platform choice. The store was custom-built with custom code, not implemented as a theme on a hosted platform. That meant the structure, flows, content sections, and commerce features had to be planned and built specifically around the brand’s requirements instead of being forced into a preset storefront model.

The practical problem was to bring several parts of the business together in one coherent experience: ready-to-shop collections, online ordering, customer accounts, order tracking, private styling, services, visual storytelling, the journal, client stories, and brand background. Each part had to have a clear role without making the site feel overloaded.

What we did

Bytecode built a custom e-commerce website for Yukti Vohra, combining commerce, brand storytelling, service discovery, and appointment booking. The work sat between custom application development and UI/UX design: the site needed the flexibility of a custom build and the clarity of a polished retail experience.

The foundation was a custom storefront structure. Instead of relying on a hosted platform theme, we built the site around the actual categories, content types, and customer actions the brand needed. That gave the site dedicated places for collections, products, services, appointments, galleries, journal content, client stories, and the brand story.

The live site includes collection pages for Anarkalis, Suits & Sets, and Indo-Western wear. These categories help visitors enter the catalog through recognizable product families rather than forcing them through a flat list of items. For a fashion label, that structure matters because customers often browse by occasion, silhouette, or style direction before choosing a piece.

We also built the product catalog with prices in Indian rupees and add-to-bag functionality. The goal was to make ready pieces shoppable without stripping away the premium feel of the brand. The commerce path continues into a shopping bag and checkout, giving the site a complete purchase flow for customers who are ready to buy online.

For returning customers and post-purchase support, the site includes customer accounts and order tracking. These features make the store more than a visual portfolio. Customers can place orders, return to their account, and track activity connected to their purchase.

Because Yukti Vohra also serves clients through personal styling, we built a dedicated “Book Your Style” private styling appointment flow. This gives visitors a clear path when they want guidance rather than immediate checkout. It also reflects the reality of a made-to-measure atelier, where the relationship between client and label can begin with consultation, styling, and fit rather than a standard product page.

We added a services section for customization, revamping, and trousseau assistance. This was important because those services are not secondary to the business; they are part of how a couture label creates value for clients. The services section lets the website explain those offerings directly instead of hiding them inside product descriptions or generic contact language.

The site also includes brand and editorial areas that support the purchase journey without turning every page into a sales page. These include a photo gallery, a journal, client stories, and a brand story page. Together, they give visitors more context around the label, the work, and the client experience.

The live store also carries a complimentary-shipping-across-India message. Since the brand ships across India, the message gives customers a clear shipping expectation while they browse and shop.

In practical terms, the build included:

  • Custom e-commerce architecture for a brand-specific storefront rather than a hosted theme implementation.
  • Collection browsing for Anarkalis, Suits & Sets, and Indo-Western wear.
  • Product catalog functionality with Indian rupee pricing and add-to-bag actions.
  • Shopping bag and checkout to support direct online purchases.
  • Customer accounts and order tracking for account-based shopping and post-order visibility.
  • Private styling appointment flow through the “Book Your Style” experience.
  • Services pages for customization, revamping, and trousseau assistance.
  • Content sections for the photo gallery, journal, client stories, and brand story.
  • Shipping communication through the complimentary shipping across India message.

The results

The result is a custom e-commerce presence that reflects how Yukti Vohra sells: part online store, part styling gateway, and part brand experience. The site gives the label a direct channel for ready pieces while preserving space for personal styling and made-to-measure services.

  • The brand now has a custom-built online store instead of a generic hosted-platform theme.
  • Customers can browse dedicated collections for Anarkalis, Suits & Sets, and Indo-Western wear.
  • Ready pieces can be added to the shopping bag and purchased through checkout.
  • Customers can create accounts and track orders.
  • Visitors can book a private styling appointment through the “Book Your Style” flow.
  • The site explains key services, including customization, revamping, and trousseau assistance.
  • The brand has dedicated areas for a photo gallery, journal, client stories, and brand story.
  • The store communicates complimentary shipping across India.

There were no performance or revenue figures provided for this case study, so the outcome is best understood through the functionality delivered: a complete custom commerce and brand platform for a luxury designer ethnic-wear label.

What this means for your store

If your business sells products but also depends on consultation, customization, or service-led buying, a standard catalog may not be enough. A custom e-commerce build can give shoppers a clean path to buy while still making room for appointments, services, editorial content, and brand trust. The important part is to design the site around how customers actually decide, not around what a generic storefront template happens to support.
